NEW Wisconsin Democrats are committed to rally behind Democratic gov nominee

• Neutrality isn’t optional for WisDems and we remain committed to letting the candidates compete and voters decide our nominee for Governor on August 11th. We will go all in behind our nominee—no matter who it is to defeat Tom Tiffany and deliver a blue trifecta to make Wisconsin work for working people.

• Democrats across the board are focused on delivering solutions for the affordability crisis and high healthcare costs and are strongly united against MAGA extremism. 

• When voters choose their Democratic nominee, we are prepared to rally behind them and work hard to get them across the finish line in November.

• Unlike in the Republican primary, where the nominee is anointed by Donald Trump rather than voters, our Democratic nominee will enter the general election having run a tough, smart race to earn every vote — and that will only make them stronger in the long run.

• We’ve already seen this year that voters are turning out in waves to reject extremists like Tom Tiffany at the polls — nothing that happens in the primary will change that. 

• Tom Tiffany is part of the problem in D.C. and brings that baggage with him to this race as Trump’s approval continues to plummet in Wisconsin. Voters don’t want D.C. chaos brought to Wisconsin and they know that’s exactly what Tiffany would do.

• Like we saw in 2018, when Gov. Tony Evers came out of a spirited primary and went on to unseat an entrenched GOP incumbent, primaries are healthy. They give our candidates a chance to hone their message and voters a chance to see what they are really made of while Tom Tiffany, who has never even run a competitive race, remains untested for the pressures of a competitive general election.

NEW Tom Tiffany is an out-of-touch MAGA extremist

• Congressman Tom Tiffany has rubber-stamped Trump’s entire cost-raising MAGA agenda, voting with him 100% of the time to raise the cost of everything from gas and groceries to utilities and healthcare.

• Tom Tiffany has supported extreme measures throughout his nearly 20-year political career that make life more expensive for Wisconsin seniors, including making it harder to get Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security and voting against lowering prescription drug prices.

• Tom Tiffany has worked to keep healthcare more expensive and less accessible for Wisconsinites his whole career. In the State Senate, Tiffany voted against expanding BadgerCare and in Congress, he voted with MAGA to gut the Affordable Care Act which nearly 300,000 Wisconsinites rely on.

• Tom Tiffany is an anti-abortion extremist who supported banning abortions before most women know they’re pregnant.

• Tom Tiffany backed policies that raised utility bills for Wisconsinites and gutted the consumer watchdog that protects the public from utility company rate hikes.

• Congressman Tom Tiffany has strongly supported the MAGA tariff-taxes that are driving up inflation, raising the costs of everyday goods and hurting Wisconsin farms and businesses.

• Gas prices have reached near-record highs in Wisconsin due to the Congressman Tiffany-backed illegal war in Iran that is making life more unaffordable for working Wisconsinites.

• Congressman Tom Tiffany is a MAGA extremist who voted to overturn the 2020 election and spread false election conspiracies for years. Tiffany is a danger to democracy and if elected would back Donald Trump over Wisconsin voters yet again.

• Congressman Tom Tiffany is a MAGA extremist who voted against the release of the Epstein files and defended abusers instead of standing up for child sex abuse survivors.

• Tom Tiffany voted for the most extreme cut to Wisconsin public school funding in state history, forcing school districts into referendums that raise property taxes year after year just to fund their schools.
