July 2026 Newsletter

Hold On Kids, the Calendar’s Getting Crazy!

‍The hustle and bustle of Summer is on full display within the Democratic Party this month and shows very little let up as we march towards the November election.

‍We have HUGE opportunities to make inroads over the next few weeks, as Trump is at a 68% DIS-approval rating, the majority of Americans disapprove of the war in Iran and more than 30% of US adults cite the economy as their number one concern. Those are all issues that Republicans solely own.

‍We have the chance like never before to flip votes, whether during our four days at the upcoming Kewaunee County Fair, during our Weekends of Action later in the month, or at Shanty Days in August.  We have an opportunity to bring new people into the fold at our annual summer picnic July 18.

‍We hope you will join us in actively “Demonstrating Democracy” at all these events.

‍Please note that since our hands-on campaign work is ramping up, we may be a little light on the newsletter content these next couple of months. Remember though, that you can also keep up with news at our website www.KewauneeDems.com

‍Here is our July (and August so far) Calendar of Events.  Please pencil these dates into your schedule.  Hope to see you all there!

July Events

Please note that due to other events we will not be holding a Speaking of Democracy in July.

July 9 – 12

Kewaunee County Fair Booth and Parade. Volunteers STILL NEEDED!

We don’t get many opportunities as a Party to make our plea to possible swing voters.  The County Fair is one place for us to do just that.  We plan to make the most of this time in “neutral” ground.  Besides illustrating our patriotism and love of Democracy, our 50” monitor will run a “highlight reel” of what Democrats and our Candidates believe in and work towards.

We have invited all the Democratic and Independent candidates to join us either in the booth or at the parade, however, we still need a handful of volunteers to help out.  We can use a couple more people to staff the booth and about 10 more to walk along or ride the parade float.

Statewide Weekend of Action

July 25th

9am – Noon

Increasingly the state party is organizing all 72 county parties in very focused activities.  Whether to go door to door asking about voters’ concerns, making sure folks have a voting plan in place for the Aug 11 Primary or that they understand how that primary ballot works, these days of boots on the ground actions have significant impact.

Let us know if you would like more information or can participate on the 25th.  Call 920-241-3586 or email kcdpwi@gmail.com.

CANDIDATE SIGNS

As we look forward to late August and the candidates for the November General Election are known, we anticipate a surge of campaign signs arriving.

We are looking for people who are handy with a post pounder and T-posts to help get all of them up as quickly as possible.

Also, we are looking for people who have a high visibility location that would be perfect for the large format 4’x4’ or 4’x8’ signs

Click here to let us know if you can help in either case by completing this survey:

A look in the rear-view mirror

At our June Speaking of Democracy, held at the Algoma Boat Club, we were joined by two more candidates for US Congress from the 8th Congressional, Katrina deVille and Mark Scheffler.  Both candidates addressed the gathering and then took questions from the audience.  We appreciate their candor and well-thought-out plans for Kewaunee County and the 8th Congressional District.
